Remote Learning

In the event that the school is unexpectedly not able to open due to circumstances outside the schools control EG: snow, flooding, heating or water issues parents will be emailed by 10am with suggested activities for the day.

If school is closed with more than 24 hours notice and for extended periods of time, children will be provided with remote teaching via Teams. Every child has a Teams login and teachers are highly skilled at recreating the classroom virtually. Children will have access to online lessons and assignments, which they can complete and submit to the teacher for feedback.

Above all else, our remote learning provision ensures that children continue to love learning and that learning time is not lost due to exceptional circumstances. Our philosophy towards remote learning is to keep the curriculum as full and ambitious as we can and accessible to all, therefore we will teach the same broad range of subjects as the children experience in school. In the event of a long-term closure, the school will provide devices and internet access to those that need it.
