Our Summer Topic is: Consequences

Our Big Question is: Do we have a right to judge people?

Our concepts are: Justice, Consequences, Responsibility

Our Christian Value is: hope

During this half term, we will be…

  • Exploring short stories by Shaun Tan to inspire our own short stories and studying the genre of letter writing in English.
  • Recapping 3D shapes, reflection and translation and decimals in Maths.
  • Continuing our Earth and Space topic and completing investigations in Science.
  • Explore natural disasters, what causes them and where they happen in Geography.
  • Experimenting with materials to build a successful marble run in DT. 
  • Learning about money and responsibility in PSHE.
  • Discussing the needs of our world and how we can help in RE.
  • Focussing on the role of beat and how dance can be added to songs in Music.
  • Using Scratch software to explore computer games in Computing.
  • Exploring vocabulary linked to sports and the Olympics in Spanish.

 

PE kits are needed on Mondays and Fridays.

Weekly spelling tests will be on Mondays (although due to the Bank Holiday, the first will be Tuesday 3rd May)

Homework will still be Mathletics every Friday, weekly spellings, reading daily and Times Table Rockstar’s! A Home learning grid for the Summer term will be available soon!
