Year 4 (Fire Class)
Well done, Year 4!
Another positive week in the bag, I am so proud of all of you. Everyday you continue to impress me with your attitudes and willingness to learn and achieve.
We have had some really busy weeks absolutely full to the brim with fantastic learning; our Roman numeral scavenger hunt, acting out Greek myths, learning Spanish and making electrical circuits in Science just to name a few!
This week in Maths we have been practising rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 and in English we have been learning about Daedalus and Icarus and improving our sentences with fronted adverbials.
Next week, we will be learning about using prepositions and direct speech in our writing. We will also be learning how to represent numbers using different representations, for example, 178 can be made with 1 hundred, 7 tens and 8 ones but can also be made with 17 tens and 8 ones. I hope that we won't have anyone that needs to isolate at home but if you do need to then you can use the Oak National Academy website to find lots of great teaching and learning videos and activities!
Finally, please have a look at the 'Time to Shine' document below as it explains what this is and what date is allocated to each child.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, you truly deserve it! I can't wait to see you all on Monday.
