Good Morning Year 2!
How is everyone today? I hope you are all keeping very well and are excited for the day ahead. Hugo sent a picture into the office of this incredible castle. Please do send in pictures and emails to the office telling me what you’re doing and how you’re getting on. I really appreciate it.
So today’s challenges are full of puzzles and rainbows! In Maths, please look over the learning document and then try the sorting shape tasks. I’ve introduced a new word, that we haven’t discussed in class yet called ‘vertices’. I’ve put its definition (meaning) on the learning document’s step to success. Please let me know how you get on and how you remember what that word means. The learning task is split into Hot, Extra Hot, Spicy and Chilli Challenges. Just as in school, please choose the task that you feel is most appropriate for your learning journey, starting on either Hot or Extra Hot working your way towards the Chilli Challenge. If you’re enjoying the tasks, then please work your way through them taking as much time as you need. However, my expectation is that you need only spend around 20 minutes doing these puzzles.
There is an art and a science activity available for you to enjoy too. I’m hoping to see lots of pictures of rainbows
and rainbow experiments very soon!
I know some of you really like singing our assembly songs. For you, here is a link to a really catchy song called ‘A Little Bit of Kindness’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=iGUABWgeA1Q&feature=emb_logo
Its message is explaining what a difference we can make when we brighten someone’s day. Year 2, I know you will brighten someone’s day today. In fact, just thinking of you is making me smile!
Wish best wishes,
