Good Morning Year 3!
How are you? I hope you are all well and looking forward to a good ‘Thinking Thursday’!
Today’s English task is about identifying and using mood as a writing device. Please spend about 15 minutes working through the first three pages (the Understand, Challenge, Test and Explain slides), then take a quick movement break. The last 'Apply' challenge is asking you to write a description of a picture. I look forward to seeing your creative thinking with this. Please spend around 5-10 minutes planning it, and then another 10 minutes writing it out carefully.
It is especially important that you check your learning through when you have finished. You could try to mark any improvements you want to make with a purple pencil (or another coloured pencil), just like we do at school. Even the most famous writers need to make improvements to their first attempts or drafts of their writing. Mistakes are part of everyone’s learning journey.
The extra activity today is a tic tac toe.
And, we also have Day 9 of the Bar Chart Daily Challenge. Please talk these puzzles through with your household and enjoy the extra brain exercise!
Remember to email across photos of your learning. I can't wait to see what you produce!
