SDP Priorities

Our key priorities for this year (2020-2021) are to ensure:

Further Enhancement of the Learning Environment

To ensure that our environment is engaging and age appropriate, catering for the needs of our mixed classes as well as KS2 classes. Our outside areas will be further developed to promote high quality learning outside for EYFS and KS1. The rich learning environment will inspire our learners and the school community.

Accelerating Learning for All Pupils

Great Kimble C of E continues to be a high achieving school and gap analysis is used to ensure children have the best opportunity to meet age-related expectations following Covid-19. Children make rapid and sustained progress through meeting the holistic needs of individuals, groups and whole classes.

An Exceptional Curriculum Offer

All children have access to a rich, broad, balanced, creative and stimulating curriculum which meets their needs. Purposeful learning opportunities ensure children relate their learning to real situations and they develop skills for life. Children demonstrate they are resilient learners and use effective strategies to solve problems, taking a leading role in their learning. This year we will continue our work on developing our curriculum offer with a particular focus on Key Stage 2 and our mixed class provision.

A New Trust Premises and Maintenance Model

To work with the Great Learners Trust to devise a sustainable model for the optimum management of Health and Safety and Premises as the school grows from an Infant school to a full Primary.

Communicate and Embed our Inclusive and Distinctive Christian Vision

Our Christian vision is reviewed and communicated with all members of the school community. It is promoted by leadership at all levels and enables children and adults to flourish.
