WALT: Identifying and using noun phrases.
Success Criteria
•I can identify a noun phrase.
•I can create and use noun phrases.
•I can use my knowledge of noun phrases to extend the poem.
•HOT TASK: Create noun phrases for some of the rainforest images and then write them into a sentence. E.g. The bulging eyed, bug eating tree frog sits in his flowery chair and stares blankly into the terrifying darkness.
•EXTRA HOT: Write a verse to add onto the end of the poem. Your verse must start with ‘Deep within the tropics,’ and include noun phrases.
•SPICY TASK: Write 2 verses to add onto the end of the poem. Your verse must start with ‘Deep within the tropics,’ and include noun phrases and personification.
